Our resident contributors return each month with their own ongoing sections, distinct in form, perspective, and creative vision.
Megan Roth
Lawyer, writer, and freediver based in Miami. Her monthly column, Only Fins, follows her beneath the surface, tracing the quiet, surprising places that freediving leads a person to think about.

Ryan Wheelbarrow
An artist and one of the most knowledgeable voices on public art in Miami. His piece each month combines illustration and text, unhurried, observant, and worth sitting with.
Fanzine Puerto Rico
A collective of Boricua creatives united by a love for zines, handmade art, and the power of storytelling. Through creative projects, they celebrate Puerto Rican culture and community.
Serci Cox
A multidisciplinary self-taught artist whose work explores joy, self-expression, and healing through color and cultural storytelling. Her illustrations follow women characters navigating the quiet, universal work of becoming themselves.
Steve Imas - Alternative Magazine
Founder and lead contributor to Alternative Art Magazine, an online resource that spotlights the South Florida music and art scene through gallery features, local music coverage, and artist interviews.

Morgan Cox
Her pasion lays in creating narrative-based work revolving around the minutiae of everyday life and intersectionality. Both in the form of writing and illustrating graphic novels, and fine art painting and drawing. Morgan contributed to Issue #3, Brids, with a painting of sparrows and roosters.
Zinemap
A global platform connecting artists, zinesters, and independent publishers around the world. Through this partnership, Letters From Miami features a different independent artist every month.
Avery Hick
A zine maker and printmaker based in Savannah, Georgia. He enjoys making comics about niche topics that catch his interest, usually relating to transportation, history, travel, and everyday life. Avery contributed with a piece called Trains in Japan to Issue #4, Public Transportation.
Tiana Traffas
A self-taught artist from La Crosse, Wisconsin, working across street art, printmaking, zines, and mixed media portraiture. Her work is rooted in feminism, resistance, and myth — and she pastes it directly onto the streets of her neighborhood. She contributed her street art zine to Issue #5 in partnership with ZineMap.
Hadass Bar-Lev
Hadass Bar-Lev is the creator behind PMS Mess, a zine project spanning perzines, comp zines, travel zines, and minizines. Almost all of her work is available as free downloads, though she has a preference for trades.

Tree Of Liminality
Missa is a poet, artist, and mentor based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she directs Tree of Liminality. An artspace and shop that carries zines, hosts events, and keeps the door open for collaborations and exhibitions.

Alicia del Aguila
An artist, musician, educator, and regenerative farmer whose life’s work centers on cultivating healthier communities. Immigrating to the U.S. at age eight, Alicia used art as a vital language to navigate her experiences growing up undocumented and to express her worldview.
Submissions
We are currently accepting submissions for the following issues:

We welcome essays, personal narratives, poetry, illustration, photography, and comics. Work does not need to address the issue topic directly; it needs to feel resonant with it.
Respect for all opinions and differences is a core value of this publication. Letters From Miami is not a political magazine; the focus is always on the art around the topic, not political views. Content that violates this premise will not be considered.
Format & Specifications:
Written submissions should be sent as a Word document or PDF. Visual work should be submitted at a minimum of 300dpi in PNG, Flat PDF, or high-resolution JPG format. Each contributor receives a two-page spread, with the possibility of four pages with prior approval.
This is currently a non-paid opportunity.
All contributors receive full credit in the published issue, including name, website, and social handle and a few printed copies to share.
